Polling results of the Singapore GE 2006 are out! there was a close fight between the Workers' Party and PAP for Aljunied GRC. the PAP only won by a margin of about 2000 votes. Mr Chiam See Tong of SDA and Mr Low Thia Kiang of WP retained their single seats in Potong Pasir and hougang respectively. the PAP's attempt to sway the voters there by offering multi-million dollar upgrading packages was unsuccessful. in fact, the opposition in general received more votes this year than ever. even the WP team contesting Ang Mo Kio GRC where the PM is, managed to get 1/3 of the votes. 1 in every 3 Singaporeans voted for the opposition this time round. omg just look at Mr George Yeo's face when he saw he narrowly won Aljunied GRC! he was like so "heng". hahaha. i really wanna thank the WP for giving us a voice and a choice. they have really moved me. here are some pics of their rallies over the past week. just look at their massive support!!
Singaporeans will
never forget...
i can't wait for my chance to vote next elections!
