this was a very stressful day with the syf presentation at night. had workshop with arwin tan from the philipines. he was really funny. he kept giving cat claws to the guys as they were too serious and he wanted them to get into "the groove" while singing dokin. "fly fly fly!!!" i couldn't get the note for the mezzo dokin dokin part. luckily i managed to in the end.
soon it was crunch time. quam iuvat was ok but boy did we screw up dokin dokin. you could see mr kwei's face changing expression! the tenors started off super sharp which caused the girls to come in with a split note and there was a natural piano during the "dokin dokin" part. we could've done much better!!
anyway all the other schools screwed up also. quite shocking especially when VS sang our credo, catholic high did pamugun which had a disappointing end, st joseph's and bowen sec sort of screwed up big time too. even vjc went sharp. anglican high stole the show! they were really good!! overall, i think mr kwei is gay. he likes conducting all-male choirs with little boys singing soprano.
night time was really fun! some of us bullied a group of boys who were staying directly below my room. hahahahaha!!! we had a surprise birthday party for olivia and philip. really sweet. hahaha. and we stayed up all night playing cards and snacking away. some people were drunk. wei lin and i took a walk to the playground at 3.20 am! ended up seeing 2 cheekopeks ogling at us as they drove past. when we reached the playground, there were people already there! wei lin thought they were mehmeh and aiping and we waved and they waved back. they turned out to be people from ajc. so paiseh la.
