okay my mum like just turned the radio on after so many years. i thought she didn't like to listen to the "noise" they play. i shall blog about yesterday and the day before. it sucked big time to return to school on wednesday after the long CNY weekend. but somehow i managed to drag my lazy ass there and after school i went to eat lunch at tampines mac's with GAIL and her classmates! namely, GAIL, salleh, wenling, arvinder, steffi, sue, SJ, angel, xueling, cho yee and eng han. i was like totally extra but they were really fun! had to rush back for choir which dragged on till 7+. i think it's becoming a permanent thing. =(
after choir, met my mum in the bus and rushed to the temple for prayers coz they were having some CNY buffet and there was no food at home. food was nice especially the shepherd's pie! auntie rose and her hubby came. temple's no fun without them. they just so warm and nice. in the end her hubby gave me sweets.
and he said i was like a daughter to him. i'm so touched.went to the airport to study on thursday and i actually read my series and sequences notes. hahaha. i want to fly. aeroplanes are like the bestest thing in the world. during choir today, our conductor nelson was telling us about how the songs we sing actually have hidden horny and erotic meanings. the song we were singing was "In Pride of May". "In pride of may... the fields are gay...the fields are gay...the birds do sing, the birds do sing. do sweetly sing. FA LALALALALAALA FA LALA FA LALA...." he told us that the english people in the old times were more modest so they replaced bad and erotic words with "FA LA LAs". this was unlike their italian counterparts.
there's this other song sang by a few convent schools including SAC which is about a sailor who's trying to court an italian girl with his seriously bad italian. unknown to them the italian words they were singing were super wrong and when a choir performed it for the prime minister, they wanted the synopsis for all the songs so nelson, being in the singapore conductors association or something like that just translated the song from italian and it actually said this: "....oh if you be my girlfriend i'll fuck you all night long and pound you like a ram." wtf! hahahahahahahhaa! the fuck word was actually the original lyrics. omg....wtf....but they phrased it in a nicer way on the score something like "...i'll serenade you all night long like a nintingale." he also told us about another song i think its called "this is the month of maying" which goes "there are many gay men...many single women...we can fuck them on the grass..." HAHAHAHAHA!!! the whole choir was laughing like crazy.
